The Committee evaluates, develops and implements programs designed to increase membership and enhance the retention of members. The Committee also oversees the updating of Association records and the member database.
The Committee maintains an avenue of open communication between members, suppliers, mills, architects and designers for the exchange of technical information and concepts. They work with the New York District Council of Carpenters' Apprenticeship School and FCICA to bring the latest information to the membership.
This Committee meets with the representatives of the New York District Council of Carpenters and Local Union 2287 to address the current issues that affect the membership in their day to day work setting, to insure safety and to promote the industry to the public. The Board also hears and makes determinations as to grievances involving interpretation and enforcement of the Trade Agreement.
This special Committee specifically negotiates the Collective Bargaining Agreement as maintained with the New York District Council of Carpenters, particularly Local Union 2287.
From time to time, this Committee reviews and updates the Association's By-Laws to insure that the objectives of the Association are timely and functional.
